couldn't agree more. I have been using mine every day for the last 5 years, and finally died (froze permanently). NO other mouse has the exact button layout of this. I had my thumb buttons as back, forward and close. Makes internet browsing a snap.

Wish we could start a campaign to bring this mouse back!!!

I absolutely agree with this post as well. I've had my MX1000 now for more than 4 years and it's still going strong. I got it as a package deal with a particular Logitech keyboard, so mine is that lovely Royal Blue color. I've looked at every gaming mouse on the market for something to replace it with just in case, but nothing comes close. As long as this mouse keeps on truckin, I'll never replace it.

The buttons are nice, although I'm not much of a macro gamer. My favorite part of this mouse is the shape: I like how it's shorter and stockier than just about every other gaming mouse on the market. All the new ones go for sleek and long, but they don't actually FIT my hand nearly as well as this mouse does, it just feels perfect.

I enjoyed reading your post, and salute you for trying to get Logitech to make another mouse like this one. I worry that, if mine does buy the farm, my next mouse won't be half the mouse this one is. Hopefully they'll see reason on this one.
